Game 1 Mouse Holes take down the Block Heads for their 1st WIN!

Our 1st game of the season:
Disneyland Mouse Holes VS. Legoland Block Heads

Around 6:40 I received a call from the Mouse Holes Captain Garrett,“Hey, were here…where are you guys?” Was the 1st thing out of his mouth? I replied “Oh Garrett I had to stop and get a couple things for the game, go secure a court for us and ill be there in 10 minutes.” “Oh ok, well hurry up, or we win” snarked Garrett. “Ok, ok…” and I laughed hanging up the phone. I was running a little late for the 1st game of the Basketball season.

Disney Mouse Holes Vs. Legoland Block Heads.

I didn’t really know what to expect when I came up with the concept of Basketball Beat Down, but last night far exceeded any and all pre conceived notions I had. The game was 4 on 4 on a half court. There were 4 quarters of 15 minutes and a 15-minute half time. We had a referee who kept score, and called any outrageous fouls (with a whistle and everything!)

The game started a little after 7pm, the 1st quarter was fairly slow keeping the score under 5 points for each team. The 2nd quarter was a different story; The Mouse Holes to a large 6point lead securing a large cushion for them to start the 2nd half. After the half time The Block Heads came back fighting filling the 6-point gap down to only 2. 15-17 was the end of the 3rd quarter, but that didn’t last long, Block Heads stood their ground and scored another 8-points in the 4th quarter but all their effort and awesome defense couldn’t stop The Mouse Holes. They came back strong for the end of the game scoring another 12 points to take the win.

FINAL SCORE 29-23 DISNEY MOUSE HOLES

Next game Disney Vs. Knotts on Thursday the 23rd

Disneyland Mouse Holes send out a Warning

Dear manager of a park other than Disney:
Greetings and salutations. Kaman’s Disney has decided to accept the invitation to the Basketball Beat-Down tournament organized by Kelcie Gruenberg of LegoLand. In the interests of fair warning, we have decided to do the other participants a favor by advising the following:

1) As Disney is now involved, a competition to determine an ultimate victor is now simply a formality. We will win, but we think it is cute that you see fit to throw your hat in the ring, just the same.
2) In spite of Kelcie’s encouragement to have as many people possible to watch, cheer on, etc., we recommend that you limit your employee’s attendance to the players only. After all, you don’t want any additional staff seeing the tenacity by which you get owned.
3) There is no shame in admitting early defeat. Our theory is that once Knott’s found out Disney would be there, they opted out of being a part of this embarrassing debacle. It is much better to face this fact on your own behalf now, prior to the sting of your assured physical detriment.
4) In case we have sent a mixed message thus far, we will win. It’s just science.
Anyway, best of luck to all involved, and please make sure that your next-of-kin notification information is up-to-date. I would have loved to send one of these individually to each park, but hey, we’re Disney, and we have better things to do.

The Challenge

Hello Mr.Manager (s),
If I have not already done this, I'm declaring war on all of you.Basketball war that is, I just moved into a new apartment and it has a basketball court. So with not wasting anything in these tough economic times, we should play some b-ball.
15 games, 8weeks, and a bracket tournament at the end.
2 games will be played a week, Wednesdays and Thursdays 6pm @ Kelcie's Apartment
Games will start the week of July 6th and go through August 24th
The end of season tournament will be 5 games of single elimination bracket to find the winner. (Prize for winning team!)
What I need from you is to find at least 5 players (that makes up a basketball team) and a couple extra people as backups for each of your parks. Also you need to come up with an awesome team name, and if your cool enough t-shirts....or at least a team color!
